Visitor Info

The Standard Donkey Dreamland tour provides entry to the sanctuary and a 30 minute guided tour* by a Donkey Dreamland guide. Receive a personal introduction to the donkeys, hear their stories, and learn a few donkey facts along the way!

After the tour, guests are welcome to spend time enjoying the peace and tranquillity of Donkey Dreamland. A visit usually lasts between 60 and 90 minutes

*Depending on the group size

Please note: We are happy to receive any cash donations on the day or additional contributions via our “online donations” area; we thank you all for your generosity and kindness.

The €10 entry charge is a donation, not a fee. If you cannot afford the donation, please email us directly, and we will try our best to accommodate you.

All donations go towards the well-being of the donkeys and the running of Donkey Dreamland. No one at the sanctuary receives a wage, including the Donkey Dreamland Founder or volunteers; everyone works for free.

Donkey Dreamland costs around €4,500 a month to run, and we receive no funding whatsoever from either the Government or the local Council. Your donations are essential to keep the project running!

Here are a few examples of our costs:

€10 – can buy a donkey’s weekly medicine

€15 – feeds a donkey for a week

€20 – pays for a farrier to trim a donkey’s hooves

€30 – pays for fresh water for a month

€50 – buys five fence posts to help build a paddock
